Sources & directory standards

Know where a listing comes from.

A useful directory needs source context as well as a phone number.

What the directory contains

The online collection contains 2,559 records: 1,662 provider records and 897 county-contact records, covering 22 categories and all 87 Minnesota counties. Records include individuals, firms, program locations and referral routes. They do not represent 2,559 unique organizations.

Research materials

The rebuild uses the expanded research database, the supplied research workbook and White Pages draft, public contact details from the advertising research, the GPS DWI handout, and all four supplied GPS ad creatives. The attached 852-provider workbook and print draft are earlier editions; the broader database is retained for online search.

Internal advertising-prospect assessments, historical unconfirmed attorney leads and records held for review are not presented as current public listings or confirmed sponsors.

Sources and dates

Profiles preserve available source URLs, licensing references, source editions, research dates and caution notes. A research date identifies when a record was reviewed in the source work; it does not mean the provider was called or that every detail remains current.

Sources include Minnesota licensing records, court and public-defender directories, county websites, public agency publications, professional listings and provider websites. Older sheriff, county-attorney and victim-services publications remain identified in the notes rather than being described as newly verified.

Before relying on a listing

Confirm the correct office, staff, phone, location, license status where relevant, eligibility, costs and availability. Directory inclusion is informational, not a credential verification, recommendation, referral agreement or guarantee. Sensitive shelter locations are not mapped.

Sponsor placement

GPS Bail Bonds appears first in bail-bond guidance as a featured sponsor. Guardian Pretrial Services LLC is retained as a separate legal-name entry for discoverability; both refer to the same business. Read the ownership disclosure.

Corrections

Send the listing name or ID, the corrected public information and an authoritative source through our correction route. A suggested change requires review before publication.
